AJS Students and Staff Share a Schoolwide Read In

On Wednesday, January 28, Anthony J. Schmidt Elementary School held a schoolwide Read In that brought students and staff together around a shared love of reading.
At 9:20 a.m., classrooms paused as hallways transformed into quiet reading spaces. Students spread out with their favorite books, many bringing something to sit on and a stuffed animal to read alongside. Staff members joined in as well, creating a building wide moment focused entirely on reading.
After 15 minutes of uninterrupted reading, students returned to class, carrying the calm and focus that comes from time spent with books.
The Read In was organized by the Literacy Committee and reflects AJS’s ongoing commitment to fostering strong reading habits and a positive literacy culture throughout the school.
